Community Education plays a key role in supporting youth through focused programs and opportunities. We provide more than just education and enrichment, we help contribute to a sound and thriving community by providing young people with engaging activities that help them grow.

Providing fun activities and learning opportunities for children year-round; after-school, in the evenings and on the weekends; to enhance your child's academic and social experiences while out of school.
Elementary and middle school athletic programs are supervised and led by certified coaches, licensed teachers or knowledgeable staff who emphasize skill development, participation, teamwork, and respect for others. Community Education also offers camps and clinics to help students gear up for the athletic programs offered at South Washington County high schools.
Kids Club (grades K-3) and Upgrade (grades 4-5) is the school district school-age child care program, open to all South Washington County Schools students and provided at all elementary school sites throughout the district. Out-of-School Time (OST) care is available before and after school and all day on school release days, including winter, spring and summer breaks.
Swimming and water safety is a skill that your children will use for life! SoWashCo Schools Community Education offers swimming lessons to support youth with a wide range of skill levels.
South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) offers activities and classes for youth through SoWashCo Community Education. Activities and classes are conveniently offered at your child's school, partner locations within our community and online.

New and returning students are invited. Your favorite instructors return with more knowledge, refined coaching skills and your favorite fencing games and armbands.
Grades 2-12
Gain a well-rounded basketball experience covering a broad range of skills training and skill-based games. Players will be taught how to properly shoot, pass, dribble, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Camps end with scrimmages/games on the final day.
Ages 5-12
Create amazing Minecraft creatures and code and create your personalized Minecraft adventure game. In small teams, create a treasure map where your character needs to find a diamond trove, survive lava, get away from dangerous creatures and more.
Grades 1-4
Explore the world of robotics by building your own teleoperated robotic arm. Learn about robotic systems like sensors, mobility and manipulation by building and programming a LEGO Mindstorm robot.
Grades 2-6
Designed for beginner coders. In small teams, create your own universe of magical pokemon creatures to escape an adventure map, code a catch-pokemon game and create a game to duel against friends.
Grades 1-4
A hands-on product design class emphasizing creative thinking and problem-solving. Explore options to find, modify, and prepare 3D files to be brought to life using a 3D printer.
Grades 4-8
DASH Sports baseball tykes camp introduces players to key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning. On the final day athletes will showcase their skills in a game environment.
Ages 2-5
Use clay, paint, glitter, and more as we sculpt our very own enchanted fairy gardens. These adorable little fairy retreats will have sparkling streams, colorful flowers, a fairy swing, and more!
Ages 4-9
Register
Learn basic knowledge about sewing and create two projects from scratch. We will be using hand and machine sewing techniques. All materials are provided.
Grades 4-8
This camp will emphasize respect for others and teach children manners and etiquette with a fun, hands-on approach. Your child will learn social etiquette, proper introductions and fine dining skills. Lunch demo last day.
Ages 8-12.5
Learn cool facts about our extinct friends and create fantastic works of dino art, including fossils, dino eggs, dioramas and more!
Ages 3.5-6
Register
Camp provides players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning will be taught and practiced. Camp ends with scrimmages and games on the final day.
Ages 5-7
Camp introduces players to Soccer, Flag Football, and T-ball. Little athletes will learn how to run, throw, catch, kick, and more! Camp ends with fun scrimmages and games during the final two days. Parent participation is required for the 2-3-year-old group and recommended when needed for the 4-5-year-old group.

Community Education offers teen driver’s education in partnership with Safeway Driving School. Learn to be a safe and skillful driver.

This training program focuses on the development of speed, strength, agility, and explosiveness for athletes in all sports. Led by ETS personnel. ETS is the leading training program for elite athletes-in the Twin Cities Metro Area.
Grades 2-12

An excellent alternative for any student unable to attend an in-person class, but still prefers interaction with an experienced instructor. Instructors teach live via virtual classroom and are available to answer questions when needed.
Grades 9-12
Improve your test-taking skills and overall scores. Since 1988, on average, students who finish the course increase their scores significantly on the ACT (36 pt. total).
Grades 9-12
This new class will be taught primarily in Spanish, with English being offered only when necessary for easy understanding. Cost for this five-week course is $45 for adults, an additional $35 to add a partner and just $15 per child. Singles welcome too!
