South Washington County Schools Early Learning Programs provide a variety of engaging, enriching and personalized experiences for our earliest learners, age birth to five, and their families.

Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)

ECFE provides classes and events designed especially for children, birth to 5 and their parents. 

Early Childhood Screening

Early Childhood Screening is a quick snapshot of your child’s health and development and is recommended at age 3 but required prior to kindergarten in Minnesota public schools.

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)

ECSE provides programs and services for young children with disabilities from birth to age five.

Preschool

Families can choose classes with a parent/child day, a child only experience, a 3-5 year old mixed age class or an evening preschool option.

Pre-K

Prekindergarten is for children who are four-years-old one year before starting kindergarten. The Pre-K program is located at most elementary schools and offers a morning or afternoon option five days a week.
