ECFE Winter/Spring Enrollment is Now Open!

ECFE Winter/Spring registration is now available online. Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes are for children birth to 5 and their parents/families. Classes begin the week of January 24th. Sign up now to ensure your space! A sample of classes offered includes:

ECFE Community Baby Shower – FREE!

Friday, January 21, 2022, 12:00 – 1:00 pm

If you have just welcomed a new baby to your family, or are expecting to soon, join us for our ECFE Baby Shower! During the baby shower, families will be introduced to the format of an ECFE class along and you will engage in fun interactive activities that support your infant’s development. You will also be provided with a baby gift bag and some helpful community resources. This baby shower is free, but registration is required. Register at, course # LR005-5.


Preschool Registration 2022-23

Preschool registration for the 2022-23 school year will take place January 10-February 18. Get your registration in during this time period to be included in the random lottery placement for preschool. If your child will be 4 years old by September 1 and hasn’t yet completed Early Childhood Screening, please make an appointment now at In order for your registration to be included in the lottery, you must have screening completed by February 18.

Got your lifeguard certification and your kids are at school? Apply to lifeguard during PE classes! Must be available to work all pool locations in Cottage Grove and Woodbury. Hours vary between 2 – 5 hours/day when PE is scheduled in the pool. Hours range between 7:55 AM and 3:00 PM. Must have a willingness to help teachers ensure safety and order while in the pool. Need to be at least 18 years old. APPLY HERE


(Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Elementary Backstroke, Side Stroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly) We are hiring part time swim instructors for multiple locations within the district. Must have a willingness to work with children and parents. Lifeguard preferred – but not required. We will train the right candidate!! Need to be at least 14 years old. APPLY HERE

Kids Club

We're Hiring! If you like working with kids and are looking for part time or full time work, Kids Club may be the place for you! 

Kids Club is a school age child care program operated by SoWashCo Schools Community Education. Kids Club is offered before and after school and on school release days at all 16 elementary schools. Experience working with children is preferred.

Senior Activities - 50+

Indoor and Outdoor Wellness Activities Are Available through Cottage Grove Wellness 50+ (One of Community Ed’s Partner Programs). Sign up for the group and to receive more information about Wellness 50+ events.

Free weekly activities such as Cribbage, Bingo, Bunco, Farkle, Bridge, 500, Mexican Train, Mahjong, Hand & Foot and more. See dates and times HERE.       

Foot Care appointments are scheduled by appointment only on the first Tuesday and Friday of the month. Cost is $23. Service is offered by Ginny’s Footcare.
